Chapter I. Overview
Section 1. Competition Introduction
- This document contains the rules of Effect Playing Contest 2025 $\mathsf{^{("EPC\ 2025"\ or\ "EPC")}}$.
- EPC is an overall competition for A Dance of Fire and Ice $\mathsf{^{("ADOFAI"\ or\ the\ "Game")}}$, linking and running two contests: the VFX Section and the Playing Section.
- The VFX Section aims to identify participants with high-quality visual effects (VFX) creation skills for ADOFAI custom levels through pure and fair methods.
- The Playing Section aims to identify participants who can achieve outstanding scores on challenging high-difficulty ADOFAI custom levels through pure and fair methods.
- Some of the custom levels submitted to the VFX Section will be used in the Playing Section.
- These rules apply to everyone who participate in and run EPC 2025.
- The organizers can revise the rules where needed, even during the Competition. If the rules are revised, the organizers will announce the change as soon as possible.
- Anything not provided for in these Rules will be handled under social practices and in good faith.
Section 2. Responsibilities of Participants
- All participants must comply with the following:
- Learn the Competition Rules beforehand and follow them.
- Respect other participants and the organizers.
- Perform to the best of their ability.
- Conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the purpose of the Competition.
- Abide by the organizers' decisions during the match.
- Submit all materials for the Competition in a timely manner.
- All participants must be available on time to participate in the schedule provided in advance by the organizers.
- All participants must own a copy of A Dance of Fire and Ice and the Neo Cosmos DLC.
Section 3. Penalty
- The organizers may penalize participants found to be the following, even after the competition is over.
- Violating the rules.
- Exploiting loopholes for advantages.
- Disrupting progress of the Competition intentionally.
- Types of penalties are as follows:
- Request for correction.
- If the request for correction is not complied with, other penalties may be applied.
- Caution.
- Issued for actions that have a minor impact on the smooth progress of the Competition.
- Two accumulated cautions will convert to one warning.
- Warning.
- Issued for actions that have a major impact on the smooth progress of the Competition.
- Scores are deducted from the current or next round when a warning is issued.
- Score deduction from the current or the next round.
- Disqualification.
- Two-year ban from all competitions organized by Dazzling or ADOFAI.gg.
- Revocation of rewards, such as prizes or winnings.
- Penalty counts are not reset unless otherwise specified, with the exception of caution and warning counts being reset once just before the Finals.
- All interpretations and making decisions under the rules are made by the organizers only.
